Job Description
The Salvation Army provides a wide range of services that support women and children impacted by family and domestic violence. This role provides compassionate, trauma-informed case management to women and children who are experiencing or have experienced family violence.
About the Role
As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will provide intake, assessment, crisis response and ongoing support to clients. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, safe and effective responses that prioritise safety, recovery, and empowerment whilst upholding the dignity and self-determination of service users through a feminist, client-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients that promote self-determination and active participation, aligned with the National Family Violence Model of Care.
* Deliver case management support consistent with The Salvation Army's case management models and standards of practice.
* Conduct ongoing assessments of clients' issues, needs, and circumstances from intake through to case closure.
* Collaboratively develop individualized case plans that address clients' goals and needs through a variety of tailored interventions.
* Support clients to take an active leadership role in implementing their case plans.
* Facilitate clients' access to holistic support services and community resources, advocating on their behalf when necessary.
* Regularly monitor and review progress and outcomes of case plans, adjusting as needed to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness.
