Change and Communications Manager (Digital Projects)
Location: West Perth
Employment Type: 6 month contract with a view to extension
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Change and Communications Manager to lead end‐to‐end change management and communications activities for major digital initiatives. This role plays a critical part in supporting the successful adoption of digital services across government agencies, industry, and the WA community. Working closely with program and project teams, agency partners, suppliers and community stakeholders, you will translate complex digital change into clear, trusted, and user‐focused communications. You will also design and deliver structured change and engagement approaches that support behavioural change, capability uplift and stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver integrated change and communications strategies for digital projects aligned with program objectives and brand guidelines.
* Translate complex digital, policy and technical changes into clear, accessible and user‐centred communications for diverse audiences.
* Develop high‐quality communication materials including fact sheets, FAQs, presentations, web content and project updates.
* Ensure communications are accurate, inclusive, accessible and compliant with branding requirements.
* Design and implement stakeholder engagement plans covering agencies, industry, community groups and citizens.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with agency partners, community organisations, industry representatives and contractors.
* Plan, coordinate and facilitate engagement activities such as briefings, workshops, information sessions and consultations.
* Manage and coordinate responses to stakeholder and community feedback in line with project protocols.
* Maintain stakeholder engagement logs, risk registers and reporting artefacts related to change and communications activities.
* Identify emerging risks, issues or resistance to change and proactively work with project teams to address them.
* Provide regular reporting to project governance groups and senior stakeholders.
* Work closely with project managers, product teams and external suppliers to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated delivery.
* Support the identification and delivery of community benefit initiatives associated with digital programs.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of change and communications practices across digital initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience leading change management and communications for complex programs or projects, ideally within digital, technology or service transformation environments.
* Strong experience developing and delivering communications and engagement strategies for multiple stakeholder groups, including government, industry and community.
* Demonstrated experience delivering stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops, forums, briefings and consultations.
* Experience managing community and stakeholder feedback, including sensitive issues, enquiries or complaints.
* Ability to produce clear, high‐quality communication materials for diverse audiences.
Additional Requirements
* Intrastate travel may be required to support stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
