Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to our services. We work on challenging problems impacting supply chains and are seeking talented individuals to join us.

You will be part of a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety, security, and cost-efficiency, fostering an inclusive culture that values innovation and ownership.

We are looking for an exceptional SysDev Engineer passionate about cloud computing and customer experience at scale. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of AWS products, DevOps patterns, CICD processes, and experience leading and mentoring engineers. You will work on automating network operations, designing self-healing systems, troubleshooting, and driving technical innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Automate network operations and deployment tasks.
2. Design management solutions using automation and self-repair.
3. Understand server, OS, and network performance and scalability.
4. Troubleshoot and analyze problems effectively.
5. Innovate and improve infrastructure efficiency through automation.
6. Develop processes to enhance operational workflows and customer impact.
7. Identify root causes of issues for long-term solutions.
8. Develop simple, repeatable solutions and processes.
9. Mentor junior staff and act as a technical escalation point.
10. Follow best practices in documentation, testing, security, and resource use.
11. Develop metrics to demonstrate operational performance improvements.

Basic Qualifications

* Experience automating, deploying, supporting large-scale infrastructure.
* Programming skills in languages like Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
* Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with distributed systems at scale.
