**Position Vacant**

**SENIOR SCHOOL TEACHER - MATHEMATICS**
**TERM 4 2024 START
**Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding Mathematics Teacher to join our Senior School
team, commencing Term 4, 2024. This is a temporary full-time position to cover a period of
leave until the end of Term 4, 2025.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

teaching hours.

You are a progressive, globally minded, enthusiastic and dedicated educator, with the

Capable of working collaboratively within a team to plan and deliver high quality teaching
and learning programmes, and possessing an exemplary understanding of best practice,
and ability range.

You are an excellent communicator, creative, and able to work well with students, parents
and other teachers. You are committed to continual professional development and
reflection, and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

- Tertiary qualifications to teach Mathematics to secondary students, HSC or IB Diploma
experience is preferred.

- NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and current teaching and

learning theory and practice
- Highly organised, detail-focused, resourceful with the ability to work under pressure to

meet deadlines
- Able to communicate and collaborate with people at all levels, with diverse

backgrounds and a wide range of age groups
- Demonstrated expertise in using data effectively to inform teaching practice
- Able to take ownership of tasks, demonstrate initiative and produce work of a

consistently high standard
- Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the

diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical
practices to maximise learning

- A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural
incident

- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when

engaging with children.
