This is a full-time position, offering approximately 38 hours per week with a flexible roster including weekends and some public holidays.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled butcher to join our team, responsible for trimming, deboning, cutting, mincing, and grinding meat to the required shape and size for display or as specified by customer orders.
* Prepare crumbed meat cuts, as well as marinating, seasoning, and curing selected cuts to enhance flavor and texture.
* Select and prepare meats for the production of small goods, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Operate machinery for grinding, mixing, mincing and tenderising meat as part of the production process.
* Create custom seasoning and pickles by blending spices, salt and other key ingredients to enhance product flavor.
* Utilise sausage fillers, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles or vats to produce specialty meat products.
* Offer expert advice to customers on the best cuts of meat for various cooking methods and meal preparations.
Requirements
* Minimum one or more year of butcher experience OR a Certificate III in Retail Butcher.
* Ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and food safety regulations.
* Attention to detail.
* Work Authorization: Australia (Required).
