Managing Director / Registered Builder (Equity Opportunity)
Ambient Sustainable Living – Perth, WA
Full-time | Leadership Role | Equity & Growth Pathway
About Us
At Ambient Sustainable Living (ASL), we're redefining home construction in Western Australia.
Our homes combine Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), triple-glazed windows, and smart home automation to create airtight, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient living spaces.
Each project is managed by our own in-house specialists, delivering exceptional quality, performance, and design consistency from concept to handover. ASL represents a new generation of sustainable building – smarter, faster, and future‑ready.
The Role
We're looking for a Registered Builder ready to step into a Managing Director role — someone who wants to lead operations, drive construction excellence, and share in the company long‑term success.
You'll oversee project delivery, quality assurance, and compliance while shaping our strategic direction and scaling capability across the Perth region.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all stages of residential construction — from building approval to completion.
* Oversee scheduling, site coordination, and quality control across multiple builds.
* Ensure full compliance with NCC, AS/NZS standards, and BAL requirements.
* Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to maintain consistency and performance.
* Implement site safety, inspection, and reporting standards.
* Collaborate with directors on strategic growth, resource planning, and client delivery.
* Represent ASL as the Registered Builder of record and uphold company licensing obligations.
About You
* WA Registered Builder (Residential) or eligible for registration.
* 8+ years' experience in residential building, construction management, or site supervision.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high build quality.
* Solid knowledge of building codes, standards, and energy‑efficient construction.
* Passionate about sustainable, innovative building methods (SIPs, airtightness, automation).
* Strong communication and leadership skills with an eye for precision and detail.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in equity participation and company growth.
Why Join ASL
* Equity opportunity: become part‑owner and help shape the future of ASL.
* Work directly with the founding directors and a specialist in‑house team.
* Be part of one of WA's most advanced system‑built, energy‑efficient homebuilders.
* Competitive remuneration package plus performance‑based incentives.
* Balcatta office with projects across the Perth metro area.
