About this Role
This is a permanent full-time position, based in our Spicers Australia head office at Dandenong South.
The HSEQ / WHS Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Group's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management systems, with a strong focus on our Australian operations. This role ensures that all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met and continuously improved to comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices. The Coordinator will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across the organization. This role reports to the Group Safety & Signet ESG Manager.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
* Frequent use of myosh software platform to facilitate processes in accordance with safety management systems and provide user support
* Assist the preparation and submission of statutory reports to various regulators, to comply with the statutory requirements
* Assist in preparing for and conducting internal and external audits (eg., ISO, safety audits, SEDEX, FSC/PEFC)
* Support risk and hazard identification, incident reporting and risk assessment processes
* Support incident and hazard investigations through to corrective actions
* Provide regular reporting to management on HSEQ performance and key metrics
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and other third parties regarding HSEQ matters
* Develop strong rapport and relationships with stakeholders across the Spicers Group to support compliance across all operations
Skills and Experience:
* Prior working experience in a safety or quality role
* Prior experience using safety management systems such as myosh (preferred)
* Formal safety qualifications, eg., Cert IV in WHS (preferred)
* Experience with internal audits (preferred)
* Strong analytical skills- able to work with and interpret data
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail
