Head of Subject – Accounting (Years 7-12)
This is a full-time teaching role commencing Term ******.
The position will develop and deliver high-quality teaching programmes within the Business Faculty, encouraging students to achieve academically, develop personally and become lifelong learners.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high-quality teaching programmes within the Business Faculty, including QCE Accounting and, ideally, IB Business Management.
Teach within the Business Faculty, engaging boys in a rigorous curriculum that integrates technology as a tool to enhance learning.
Contribute professionally to the School's pastoral, service and co-curricular programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated expert knowledge of the subject syllabi, supported by academic excellence and proven excellence as a classroom practitioner.
Extensive knowledge of classroom pedagogies for engaging and nurturing boys within a rigorous curriculum that integrates technology.
Thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCE Subject courses.
Proven excellence as a classroom practitioner, employing strategies that engage boys in learning, deploying group and individual learning options that sustain a literacy-rich curriculum and that use technology (such as notebook laptops) as a tool to enhance learning outcomes.
Capacity to develop a climate of trust, candour and mutual respect with colleagues, students and parents in a Christian school setting in the Anglican tradition.
