The Project
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer, undertaking major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for 30 years across three Department of Defence establishments:
* Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
* Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
* RAAF Base Wagga
The project will incorporate construction of new messing and living-in accommodation, training facilities, refurbishment, and upgrading of existing buildings, as well as remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services, with a total capital investment of $1.7 billion.
Your Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to manage and direct the project team to deliver the project according to specified requirements and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to a culture prioritizing safety.
* Manage project setup, delivery, and completion, including establishing relevant systems.
* Monitor project progress against program and budget, taking prompt corrective action when required.
* Review design and construction plans, schedules, temporary works designs, method statements, and job safety analysis.
* Prepare accurate project reports and provide reporting on project risks and opportunities.
* Assign tasks to project team members to deliver outputs according to agreed specifications.
* Ensure the project is adequately resourced to meet program and contractual agreements.
* Monitor KPIs and productivity analysis against program and budget.
To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:
* Australian citizenship preferred for Defence site entry requirements.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
* Experience as a Project Engineer on a large-scale project in the Construction industry.
* Demonstrated commercial experience, including planning up to 3 months ahead, weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost, reporting on risk, and developing and implementing risk treatment plans.
* Strong attitude and awareness of Safety.
* High level verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent planning and organizing skills; and negotiation and influencing skills.
* A problem solver and strategic thinker.
