Overview

Datacom is entering a dynamic phase of growth across Australia, expanding our consulting footprint and deepening our impact in enterprise technology. As part of this momentum, we're looking for an Associate Director to lead client-facing engagements in Enterprise Architecture—someone who brings strategic clarity, a collaborative mindset, and a strong sense of purpose. We're growing rapidly across Australia and New Zealand, and we're looking for a AD - Enterprise Architecture who brings both strategic vision and human-centred leadership.

About the Role This is a senior consulting role focused on helping clients navigate complexity, modernise their technology environments, and align architecture with broader business goals. You'll work alongside executive stakeholders to shape transformation roadmaps, guide investment decisions, and embed architectural thinking into long-term planning. We're looking for someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, foster trust, and help clients unlock meaningful outcomes through thoughtful, people-centred architecture.

Key Responsibilities

* Partner with clients to co-design strategic roadmaps and operating models
* Facilitate inclusive workshops and governance forums that bring diverse voices to the table
* Provide thought leadership on emerging trends and their business implications
* Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across industries
* Support the growth of our consulting practice in Australia, drawing on Datacom's strong foundations in New Zealand
* Mentor and develop consultants across the architecture practice
* Contribute to bids, proposals, and strategic account planning

What You'll Bring

* 10+ years in enterprise architecture or strategic technology consulting
* Experience working with senior stakeholders and guiding complex engagements
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to shape investment strategies
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a collaborative and inclusive style
* A track record of delivering transformation and embedding architecture into business decision-making
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field

Why Join Us

Here at Datacom, we are one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services. We maintain a dynamic, agile, small-business feel that is often diluted in larger organisations of our size. It's our people that give Datacom its unique culture and energy that you can feel from the moment you meet with us.

We care about our people and provide a range of perks such as social events, chill-out spaces, remote working, flexi-hours and professional development courses to name a few. You'll have the opportunity to learn, develop your career, connect and bring your true self to work. You will be recognised and valued for your contributions and be able to do your work in a collegial, flat-structured environment.

We operate at the forefront of technology to help Australia and New Zealand's largest enterprise organisations explore possibilities and solve their greatest challenges, so you will never run out of interesting new challenges and opportunities.

We want Datacom to be an inclusive and welcoming workplace for everyone and take pride in the steps we have taken and continue to take to make our environment fun and friendly, and our people feel supported.
