Mechanical Engineer – Fortescue
Work Location: Iron Bridge – Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D6R – FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Port Hedland
The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to provide technical support using initiatives and applying engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaison with relevant departments to provide technical solutions
* Manage the development and execution of operational and capital projects
* Complete Root Cause Analysis for plant downtime events
* Ensure correct application of Health & Safety standards including Change Management
* Monitor quality assurance of critical processes
* Achieve targets set for defined sections of area budgets
Qualifications And Experience
* Minimum 3+ years fixed plant experience in an Engineering and/or Projects role
* Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* Mining experience in hard rock applications
* Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations
* Knowledge of computer management systems
* Planning, organisational, budgeting, scheduling and coordination skills
