Primary objective
Provide a high level of administrative and Information Technology (IT) support to the staff of the Territory Intelligence Division.
Context statement
The Territory Intelligence Division is a unique Division as it is primarily responsible for vetting, advice and guidance, operations and
providing intelligence and support across the Agency but also across Northern Territory Government Departments. The nature of work
required for this position may include exposure to graphic or offensive material.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Maintain and administer the Territory Intelligence (TI) Section secure server.
2. Maintain, administer, and provide training for TI computer systems and databases.
3. Provide advice as required on TI computer systems and databases to existing or potential users and clients.
4. Provide technical support to the Technical and Covert Section in absence of their technician.
5. Provide IT support for the various IT programs and databases relevant to TI.
6. Vetting, linking, and uploading information and documents to various database.
7. As directed, liaise with other Units/Sections on TI computer systems and database.
8. Liaise as directed, with other law enforcement and/or security agencies in order to facilitate exchange or relevant information and
expertise.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience, high level of practical knowledge and understanding of IT systems, operations, and databases, including
SharePoint.
2. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity at all times.
3. Demonstrated experience, high-level ability to analyse, diagnose and resolve IT system faults.
4. Demonstrated experience, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to undertake multiple tasks simultaneously,
work under pressure, cope with high workloads and meet tight deadlines.
5. Demonstrated experience, proficiency, and high degree of accuracy in data entry, work processing, keyboard and administrative skills
and utilising various computer databases and applications.
6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise, achieve results, identify work objectives, and adapt to changing work priorities.
7. Ability to work flexible and extended hours when required.
8. Successful applicant must be able to obtain a National Security Clearance to the level of NV1.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of intelligence techniques, concept, and computerised intelligence systems.
