About the role
Capel Crane Hire Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Shut Down Riggers / Crane Operators to join our team on a contract basis in Muchea, Western Australia. This dynamic role involves operating cranes and performing rigging duties during scheduled shutdown and maintenance project.
What you'll be doing
* Safely operating a variety of cranes, including mobile and slewing cranes (up to 350t) to lift and move heavy machinery and equipment, and plant.
* Performing detailed rigging and lifting plans to ensure loads are secured and transported efficiently and safely
* Conducting pre-operational checks and maintaining crane logbooks and other documentation
* Collaborating with site teams to coordinate crane operations and resolve any issues that arise during shut down and maintenance activities
* Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience as a Shut Down Rigger or Crane Operator, preferably within the construction or industrial sectors
* Valid crane and rigging tickets/licenses appropriate for the required equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with site personnel
* Commitment to working safely and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
