Midway currently has an opening for a Community Engagement Officer. We are looking for a passionate individual who can represent the organisation at community and sector events, build strong connections with potential customers, families, and stakeholders. The role will be required to promote services, raise brand awareness, and generate customer growth opportunities through active outreach and relationship development.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend community events, expos, and networking opportunities to promote the organisation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, families, referrers, and service providers.
* Coordinate meet-and-greets with prospective clients in collaboration with Service Delivery Managers / Senior coordinators.
* Provide accurate information on services and support, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
* Gather feedback and insights from community engagement to inform service delivery improvements.
* Maintain the new client enquiries and waitlist register.
* Collect and analyse data regarding accommodation and support needs of potential clients.
* Complete initial client setup in the Client Management System.
* Maintain the Vacancies Register and liaise with the Communications team regarding website updates.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
General understanding of the disability sector, including funding streams.
Strong professional approach and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
High attention to detail in documentation and communication.
Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
Effective time management and organisational skills, with ability to meet deadlines.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advanced use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams to support reporting, data analysis, formatting documents and professional communication.
Committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Possess a current WA driver's license.
Ability to obtain a NDIS Clearance.
A current National Police Clearance issued within the past 6 months, or the ability to obtain one.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
