You will play a key role in supporting and optimising a predominantly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment, while ensuring seamless integration with Windows Server and cloud platforms. Working across on-prem and cloud infrastructure, you'll contribute to system reliability, security uplift, and ongoing platform improvement through automation and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support large-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
* Manage and integrate Windows Server platforms with Linux systems, including Active Directory and enterprise services.
* Support and maintain cloud environments, including IaaS workloads, virtual machines, networking, and hybrid connectivity.
* Contribute to automation initiatives using Ansible, including playbook development and configuration management.
* Perform system hardening and support vulnerability management activities, including remediation planning.
* Analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities using enterprise tooling.
* Troubleshoot complex issues across both Linux and Windows environments.
* Produce clear and concise technical documentation.
* Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure platform reliability and security.
What You'll Need
* Be a highly experienced systems engineer with a strong focus on Linux-based environments.
* Demonstrated expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) within enterprise-scale environments.
* Solid experience across Windows Server, including integration with Linux and directory services.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly IaaS, networking, and hybrid environments.
* Exposure to Ansible for automation and configuration management (highly desirable).
* Experience in security and vulnerability management, including system hardening and remediation.
* Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (desirable).
* Strong troubleshooting capability across multi-platform environments.
* Ability to work autonomously while engaging effectively with cross-functional teams.
