Contract: Full time Disability Support Worker – Christmas Casual Positions – Located in Launceston TAS

Christmas is a special time of year for our customers; we celebrate the festive season and assist customers to be with family or maintain relationships, while providing emotional support when needed. We have opportunities to join our dedicated team of Casual Disability Support Workers to assist customers during the Christmas period. Casual hours are available in Launceston TAS for Disability Support Workers, with potential for ongoing hours including Part-time Permanent positions for suitable candidates, along with career growth and progression opportunities. Training is provided for all new starters to ensure comfort and preparedness for the role. 
Significant availability during this Christmas period across days/nights, weekends and public holidays is a must. Shifts are typically 4 days per week between 2pm and 10am, with generous penalties. 
About The Position: Our DSWs support people in their day-to-day living, providing quality 24/7 care in supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. You will provide direct support across a range of customer needs including domestic and personal care, and help customers access and engage with the community. 
Responsibilities 
- Provide direct support across a range of customer needs including domestic and personal care. 
- Assist customers to access and engage with the community and maintain connections with family and loved ones. 
- Support customers in day-to-day living within SIL/Group Homes to ensure a secure, nurturing environment. 
Qualifications 
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability 
- Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team 
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships 
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencement 
- Ability to use computers and learn various software/programs 
- Smartphone 
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
