Position

CPA is seeking a highly experienced & resilient Disability Support professional to join the high-performing team at one of our key SIL houses in Wyong. This is an in-home based support role where you'll have the opportunity to directly engage with clients and help to build independence through working towards individual goals. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, with up to 32 hours per week on offer.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering personalised support by assisting clients with personal care, administrating medication, manual handling.
  • Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent.
  • Building positive relationships with our clients.
  • Transporting clients in your own car.

Qualifications

  • Professional behaviour / Disability Support experience.
  • Experience working with behaviours of concern and high needs clients.
  • Someone who embodies CPA values, is client-focused in their approach to care, and driven by the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people with disabilities.
  • Availability across a variety of shift times, including: Early mornings (6am-9am), Day shifts (9am-3/4pm), Afternoons & evenings (12pm onwards), Awake overnights (10pm-6am).
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum).

Training

We invest $5,000 in training in your first year. Training includes:

  • Specialist training opportunities.
  • Buddy shifts with CPA's experienced Disability Support Workers.
  • Important information regarding the high level of physical functionality required for this role (details will be provided during orientation).
