Job Description
Role Purpose and Objectives
The purpose of this position is to lead the revenue and rates team through effective resourcing and decision-making, ensuring optimal team operation.
The objectives include:
Supporting and managing the resourcing needs of the revenue and rates team
Serving as the senior contact for escalated customer requests
Providing technical advice to the team and organization
Offering insights into the performance of Council’s rate recovery through monthly reporting
Escalating issues to the Finance Manager or Executive Leadership Team as necessary

Key Selection Criteria
Essential qualifications and experience
Extensive experience with rating systems and legislation
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a similar role
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication, and negotiation skills
Experience supervising staff
