Compass Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Chef to manage our canteen in a global manufacturing setting, preparing and serving breakfast, morning tea, and lunch for up to 150+ staff daily.
The Position
* Oversee and lead the daily preparation of meals for onsite team, including breakfast, morning tea, and lunch.
* Manage kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.
* Coordinate with two team members to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of meals.
* Cater to ad-hoc functions as required by the business.
* Maintain inventory and manage supplies to ensure cost-effective operations, minimising food wastage.
* Ensure accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls.
* Maintain a high standard of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with industry regulations and best practices.
* Control and prepare administrative documents such as client invoicing for functions and catering weekly.
The Person
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
* National Police Check.
* Proven bulk cooking experience or experience in a similar small-scale kitchen environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* A hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a busy, high-demand environment.
* Ability to work within a budget while maintaining food quality and service standards.
* Knowledge and experience in allergy awareness and food safety protocols.
