Are you a General Operator looking to use your skills and develop them further in the area of road maintenance and construction as a Plant Operator. We have two positions available, and if you have the experience in Grader, Excavator, Loader, Backhoe and HC/HR Truck Operations, we would love you to apply.
**What your day will look like**:
- Operate heavy duty machinery and provide labour for the outdoor team.
- Improve and maintain the Council's roads, drainage, bridges and public areas.
- Complete daily maintenance and inspections of plant equipment.
- Make sure our equipment and materials are available, maintained, safe and what is needed for works.
- Provide on-call support for the Road Management & Operations team.

**We are looking for someone who has**:
- Proven experience in operating heavy-duty machinery and plant for general maintenance and construction works.
- Knows how to work well under pressure and work well as part of a team.
- An excellent work ethic and is committed to a safe working environment.
- Able to work unsupervised and think on their feet.
- Can communicate with a wide range of people.
- Heavy ridged/combination licence preferred or ability to obtain Heavy Combination licence.
- A current drivers' licence
