Star College Australia is a well-established Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering nationally recognised training across Community Services, Health, and related sectors. We are seeking a capable and organised Administration Assistant to support training delivery and student coordination at our Larrakeyah campus.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, coordination and working closely with students, trainers and management.
Responsibilities
* Act as a key point of contact for students via phone, email and in person
* Support general student enquiries
* Maintain accurate student records in the Student Management System (SMS)
* Assist students with forms, documentation, assessments and attendance queries
* Prepare and maintain electronic and hard-copy student files
* Assist with class scheduling, trainer coordination and room allocations
* Support basic training coordinator functions, including course logistics and follow-ups
* Prepare class lists, attendance sheets and training documentation
* Liaise with trainers regarding schedules and student matters
* Set up training rooms for face-to-face delivery
* Ensure training rooms are clean, organised, and ready for delivery
* Pack down training rooms and manage post-training materials
* Assist with coordination of graduations, workshops, information sessions and student events
* Provide on-the-day support for training sessions and events
* Manage general office administration, correspondence and filing
* Support in booking staff travel
* Order office and training supplies as required
About You
* Previous experience in an administration or coordination role is advantageous
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a professional and friendly approach
* Comfortable liaising with students, trainers and stakeholders
* Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
* Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Willing to learn student management system
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience working in an RTO, education or training environment
* Experience supporting events or workshops
