Job Description
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems architecture and administration, with experience in designing and implementing secure computer systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
* Maintain an organization's computer systems' workflows and be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems
* Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
* Troubleshoot moderately complex system hardware and software issues
* Train end users on the proper use of hardware and software
* Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
* Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels
* Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
* Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
* Conduct hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
* Ensure that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
* May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
* May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience or HS/GED with 19 years of experience in systems engineering
Skills: Systems Architecture, Systems Administration, Security+
Benefits
Salary: $119k - $247k depending on experience and contract
