About the role
Join the Processing team at Peak Gold Mine as a Process Technician / Mill Operator and help turn raw ore into gold and metal concentrates. This is a hands-on role working in an outdoor, physical environment where safety, teamwork, and consistency are key.
Day to day, you'll help keep the plant running safely and efficiently by:
* Monitoring equipment, checking gauges and pumps, and reporting any issues
* Performing cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance tasks
* Assisting with sampling, inspections, and routine operational checks
Following clear procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
You don't need mining or processing experience, just a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. We'll provide full training and support to help you build a career in mining.
Roster: 7/7 (Rotating day / night)
Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW
No prior experience is required, we value a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn, and full training is provided.
This position is only available for Cobar residents, offering a residential allowance and a family-friendly 7 days on / 7 days off roster. Salary is aligned to experience, so we welcome applicants with no through to extensive experience.
Qualifications and experience
Essential
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
* Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures consistently
* Positive attitude to physical outdoor work and practical tasks
* Initiative, resourcefulness, and integrity
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Desirable
* Working knowledge of crushing, grinding, flotation, and gold processing equipment and technologies
Experience interpreting data and reporting on operational performance
Note: Prior processing or mining experience is not required, we will provide full training for motivated local applicants.
