Lead Strategic Sourcing Activities for Electronic Systems and Information Components
Job Description
* We are seeking a key member of our procurement team to lead strategic sourcing activities for Electronic & Information Systems and components across our supply chain.
* This role is responsible for developing strategic supplier relationships, managing sourcing, and obtaining improvements in procurement costs across the category.
About This Role
This strategic sourcing professional will be responsible for:
* Developing and managing formal sourcing activities, including Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Tender (RFT), and Contract Manufacturing Agreement;
* Working with technical authorities to develop technical specifications, statements of work, scope, and other related technical data documentation necessary to support sourcing activities;
* Conducting supplier evaluation, selection, validation, negotiation, and relationship management;
* Tracking, analysing, benchmarking, and verifying procurement costs across category and identifying savings potential, trends, and opportunities to optimise the supply chain;
* Remaining current with industry trends, including new technologies and solutions across the assigned category;
* Measuring, meeting, and reporting on annualised savings targets across the category.
Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial Management, or a related field;
* Membership of a recognised Procurement/Supply Chain professional group;
* 5+ years of experience in procurement of electronic systems and information systems (inclusive of hardware, software, and data) and electronic components;
* Significant experience in the management of strategic research and sourcing activities, including RFQ and tender development, supplier evaluation, selection, validation, and relationship management;
* Contract management, including drafting, issue, and management of sourcing and tendering for electronic systems and information systems (inclusive of hardware and software) and electronic components;
* Understanding and experience in using ERP Management Systems; and
* Knowledge of NetSuite (preferred).
