The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised, professional, and discreet Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide high‐level administrative, executive, and governance support. This pivotal role ensures the effective coordination of the CEO's office and contributes to the efficient delivery of organisational priorities. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional communication and seamless administrative operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing high‐level, confidential executive support to the CEO, including managing correspondence, schedules, and competing priorities
* Coordinating Council and Executive meetings, including the preparation of agendas, accurate minutes, and follow‐up of action items
* Preparing reports, correspondence and presentations in line with organisational standards
* Managing the CEO's travel arrangements, accommodation, and itineraries
* Acting as a key liaison between the CEO, Executive Team, staff, and external stakeholders
* Supporting governance processes and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
* Maintaining accurate corporate records and confidential information
* Coordinating meetings, events, and organisational initiatives to support business outcomes
* Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely progression of CEO and organisational priorities
* Using initiative to identify process improvements and contribute to the efficient operation of the CEO's office
A relevant diploma level qualification in Business Administration or Local Government (or a commitment to obtaining) and a current unrestricted WA "C" Class Driver's Licence are essential for this role.
You will also need advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience using document management systems, a strong attention to detail, and highly developed communication skills.
Working Hours
This is a part‐time, ongoing position required to work 45 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE). To meet operational requirements, these hours must be worked in person at the Kununurra Administration Office, within the hours of 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, under one of the following arrangements:
* 4.5 hours per day across 10 days per fortnight; or
* 5 hours per day across 9 days per fortnight, with flexibility in selecting the non‐work day (provided it does not fall on a Friday).
Salary and Benefits
If successful, depending on your skills and experience, you'll receive a competitive annual salary between $58,523 and $65,052 (pro‐rated for this 0.6 FTE position and inclusive of allowances and superannuation).
