* Part Time Permanent Position Available (0.6 FTE)
* Classification: Registered Nurse Level 2, with salary range of $100,064 - $105,123 per annum (pro rata + Superannuation OR
* Classification: Health Professional Level 2 with a salary range of $94,927 - $106,210 per annum (pro rata + Superannuation

Aboutyour new role
The Geelong Medicare Mental Health Centre (GMMHC) provides the Geelong community free short to medium term (3-6 months) mental health support to adults over the age of 18 years with the aim of making it easier for anyone living in the Greater City of Geelong catchment to access equitable, free, and quality mental health support. We offer a welcoming place for people to access mental health information, services and supports from qualified professionals (clinical and lived experience staff) over extended hours.

Service delivery will reflect principals of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery Oriented practice. The GMMHC service will provide a holistic approach to care, addressing a range of social, physical, and emotional needs informed by the Collaborative Relational Practice (CRP) and supported by best practice in evidence-based and evidence informed care. The GMMHC has a strong focus on lived experience and provides support via a high engagement, multi-disciplinary model.

The Mental Health Clinician role provides high quality services to service users requiring immediate and or short to medium term mental health care and support. As an Allied Health Professional, the Mental Health Clinician will draw on their discipline skills, engage with guests (consumers), other clinicians, the guest's treatment team, Neami Lived Experience staff and family/friends/carers to provide high quality assessments and interventions aimed at improving mental health outcomes for guests accessing GMMHC. This work will focus on clinical assessment and collaborative care planning.

What you will bring to the role

* Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or related
* Current full registration as an Enrolled Nurse/Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR
* Current full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR
* Current full registration as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW),or be eligible to hold membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Proven experience at a clinical level within the area of mental health service delivery
* Experience working as a member of a multi- disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation
* Experience working across a range of Commonwealth and State funded mental health programs and ensuring program implementation in line with funding requirements and contracts

* Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work

* A valid driver's licence
