We are proud to become a new Australian Department of Defence partner, offering career opportunities to support the delivery of Property and Asset Services across South Australia and the Northern Territory. We have a role available for a HVAC Technician in our Defence division. This is a permanent full‐time position based in Keswick, South Australia, with a minimum 6‐year contract term. We also have brand new tools and vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Conduct regular preventative maintenance of HVAC systems, including air‐conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and controlled temperature environments.
* Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance and prevent system failures.
* Install new HVAC systems and components as required, ensuring all installations comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
* Monitor and adjust system controls to ensure efficient operation and compliance with designated temperature settings.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including details of parts used and work performed.
* Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime and disruption to operations.
* Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex issues and optimise system performance.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* A current Australian Refrigeration Mechanic Trade qualification.
* Demonstrated experience with chilled water systems and all components, including chillers, air handling units and BMS control systems.
* Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
* ArcTick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
* Restricted or Open Electrical Licence.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Civilian Australian citizen able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
