Overview
The advertised vacancy is a 33‐month fixed‐term, full‐time position commencing Term 3, with the potential for extension. The successful applicant will become the Principal of Karratha Primary School, leading a school that offers a comprehensive education support program for students with significant additional needs.
Responsibilities
The Principal will be responsible for:
* Maintaining a school culture that promotes positive relationships among students, staff and the wider community.
* Engaging parents and the community in the educational work of the school.
* Being innovative and creative in developing systems and structures that foster academic development and social and emotional improvement for students.
* Supporting and enhancing the Education Support Program, ensuring high‐quality, personalised educational pathways for students with intellectual disability, developmental delay or autism spectrum disorder.
* Demonstrating a commitment to continuous school improvement, particularly in the instructional program and pedagogy of beginning teachers.
* Building networks with other agencies, schools and community services to benefit school programmes.
