Work directly with the Head of Credit and play a vital role in helping to manage lending decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Review and assess loan applications in accordance with responsible lending and credit policies and procedures
* Supporting the Head of Credit in reviewing credit policies and assessment procedures
* Support customer-facing and operations staff on such as reviewing applications and verifying customer documents
* Assist in the development of credit portfolio reporting and monitoring
* Support in improving credit risk initiatives and maintaining relationships with regulators
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated experience with residential lending (this could be from sales, operations or credit assessment) 2-4 years ideally.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Degree qualified (Commerce, Accounting or similar discipline)
* Strong numerical skills, solution-focused and a problem-solving attitude
