 
        
        Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

We are currently recruiting for a Darwin based B1 LAME to join our NT Engineering Team in troubleshooting, conducting routine and non-routine maintenance, and performing repairs on various aircraft systems and components in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. 
Responsibilities 
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft as directed, including certifying work carried out by unlicensed engineers and apprentices under supervision. 
Direct, supervise and certify maintenance work in accordance with the Company Exposition and regulatory standards (CASR/CASA). 
Ensure maintenance teams work in accordance with maintenance plans and Company procedures; accurately record work completed on worksheets; obtain necessary certifications from authorised personnel; issue CRS upon completion; and deliver completed work packages for audit and processing. 
Conduct maintenance on aircraft and components in line with published airworthiness data and quality standards acceptable to Airnorth and customers. 
Perform administrative duties and coordinate work as directed, including undertaking Project or Team Supervisor responsibilities when required. 
Advise Senior Engineer on amendments to Exposition, manuals and procedures; assist with preparation of amendments. 
Liaise with DAMP Supervisors after accidents/incidents or suspected drug/alcohol use; participate in the Safety Management System (AIRS) for accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses. 
Perform any other duties appropriate to the job function and the incumbent's skills. 
Position details 
Current roster: rotating 4 days on, 4 days off, 11 hour day roster. Travel may be required on short notice, especially in AOG situations. Work in hangars, on the ramp, or in outdoor environments. 
Location: Darwin base; aircraft types: E120 and E170/190. 
Qualifications and requirements 
Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) with understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations applicable to Certificate of Approvals. 
Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work under pressure; strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; problem-solving abilities; high attention to detail; ability to work proactively in a small team. 
Must be able to obtain and hold an ASIC and an Airside Drivers Licence; Human Factors training and a current passport are essential. 
Salary and benefits 
Base salary range: $105,000 to $112,000 plus superannuation, with any applicable licences payable in addition.
