Job Title: Substance Abuse Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with addiction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients, families, and communities affected by substance abuse. They will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans, promote health education, and advocate for policy change.
This role requires a strong commitment to delivering patient-centered care, a passion for improving health outcomes, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on substance abuse treatment options.
* Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
* Promote health education and awareness programs to prevent substance abuse and support recovery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and advocate for policies that address the root causes of substance abuse.
Requirements:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the specialty area of practice related to the management of patients with Drug and Alcohol needs.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
