About the Role
You will play a key part in addressing pressing global challenges such as climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, and geopolitical shifts that affect food systems. Your expertise in research, academic writing and social media management will be instrumental in developing evidence-based solutions and fostering resilient food systems for Victoria’s future.
Your responsibilities will include:
4. Contributing to the reporting required to meet the research project milestones and reporting schedule
5. Assisting with research activities including, but not limited to, data collection and analysis, preparation of presentations and literature searches, receiving direction from senior colleagues
6. Maintain and update content for the Foodprint Melbourne website, social media platforms and e-newsletters
7. Develop and improve processes to maintain integrity of research records, data collection and processing
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated individual for a research-focused role with key responsibilities in research and research training. You will play a crucial role in contributing to research projects, including data collection and analysis, preparation of presentations and literature research. You will also be involved in maintaining and updating content for the Foodprint Melbourne website and social media platforms.
You will also have:
8. Bachelors degree or Masters degree awarded in a relevant discipline
9. Demonstrated experience working within a research environment
10. Demonstrated ability to undertake research tasks under supervision, with the ability to work in a self-motivated manner
11. An understanding of sustainable food systems
