About Our Client:
Our client is a trusted provider of ERP software and integrated solutions, specialising in delivering tailored technology to industries such as mining, construction, and manufacturing. They are currently looking for a commercially driven Software Sales Executive (BDM) to join their collaborative team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you'll drive new customer acquisition and manage relationships within the mining and mining services industry.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong track record in ICT or software solution sales who thrives in a structured, high-performance environment.
The Role
As the Software Sales Executive (BDM), your focus will be to grow our market presence, win new deals, and drive long-term value for clients. You'll work closely with the pre-sales and delivery teams to design tailored solutions around our clients' ERP and consulting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

• Achieve new sales targets and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities

• Identify and develop business opportunities through direct outreach and existing networks

• Build a deep understanding of client challenges to shape the right solution fit

• Represent our client at industry events and client site visits

• Maintain accurate CRM records, including forecasts and weekly reporting

• Prepare professional quotes and proposals aligned with delivery timelines

• Collaborate closely with implementation teams for seamless customer onboarding

• Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and evolving client needs

• Foster strong post-sale relationships to maximise client satisfaction and advocacy
What You'll Need
Mandatory:

• 5–10+ years' experience in a BDE/Account Manager role in the ICT/software space

• Consistent history of meeting/exceeding sales targets

• Solid knowledge of the mining industry lifecycle

• Software Sales experience

• New Account Development

• Sales Plan/Strategy experience

• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies and CRM tools

• Confident in engaging senior stakeholders with complex solution offerings

• Experience selling ERP systems or enterprise software

• Understanding of the software implementation process

• Driven, curious and competitive – you enjoy chasing and winning new business

• Collaborative team player, but can work autonomously and manage your own desk

• Resilient and adaptable – able to maintain a positive mindset under pressure

• Skilled communicator with high EQ and consultative sales acumen

• Organised and methodical in managing multiple priorities and reporting lines
