About the Role
We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our team based in Canberra. Key Responsibilities
You will conduct assessments, write behavioural support plans and programmes, assist with plan implementation and supervise other practitioners. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in various settings.
* Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions.
* Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans.
* Support Behaviour Therapists and Support Workers.
* Perform Behaviour Therapist duties if required.
* Train employees on clinical techniques.
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
* Collaborate with professionals like doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists and occupational therapists.
* Ensure accurate documentation of incidents and plans.
Desired Skills and Experience
You need:
* A bachelor's degree related to Positive Behaviour Support or postgraduate qualifications.
* Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist.
* High-level communication skills, including report preparation.
* Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
* Current NDIS Screening and Working with Children Checks.
* A valid driver's licence and vehicle.
* Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support.
