Macmahon is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support the recommencement of operations at Mt Carlton mine. Located approximately two hours south of Townsville, Mt Carlton is a gold silver operation preparing to transition from care and maintenance back into production. This restart presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of safe, efficient and sustainable operational practices from the outset.

This position operates on a 7 Days On/ 7 Days Off roster, DIDO only.
About The Role
* Supervise daily maintenance activities for mobile, fixed and ancillary plant.
* Provide strong safety leadership and ensure compliance with all site standards and procedures.
* Allocate tasks, manage resources and support an efficient workflow across shifts.
* Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, field leadership interactions and inspections.
* Support effective planning and scheduling by working closely with the maintenance planner.
* Diagnose issues and support trades with technical troubleshooting.
* Ensure quality maintenance work is completed to OEM and site specifications.
* Assist with reporting, work orders, and maintenance system updates.
* Champion continuous improvement and contribute to asset reliability initiatives.
About You
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Leading Hand in surface mining or heavy industry.
* Relevant trade qualification (HD fitter, electrician, boilermaker etc.).
* Strong understanding of mobile equipment maintenance (e.g., Cat, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr – or site-specific fleets).
* Demonstrated safety leadership and an ability to influence safe behaviours.
* Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills.
* Ability to build a positive team culture and mentor trades personnel.
* Competent using maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto, Pulse – or site equivalent).
