Job Summary
As an Exploration Technician, you will provide field support to the geology teams at our mine site. This role involves collecting geological samples, preparing sites, monitoring equipment, and ensuring rehabilitation duties are completed.
Key Responsibilities
* Collecting geological samples from suitable sites and dispatching them to the laboratory for analysis.
* Preparing sites for sampling, including gridding, clearing, and setting up drilling pads.
* Monitoring field equipment and arranging servicing or repairs as needed.
* Ensuring all field equipment is stored securely and maintained in good condition.
* Encouraging continuous improvement in work-related activities through effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years' experience working in exploration, underground, or open pit mining operations. They must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and hold a current manual driver's license.
Previous experience using GPS and Differential GPS Units is highly desirable, as well as strong communication skills and a desire to work in an assistant-oriented capacity.
