Our client, a signage specialist with over 50 years' experience bringing brands to life, is seeking a trade-qualified Spray Painter to join their busy manufacturing team.
Position Summary
The role suits someone trade-qualified with strong technical ability, a sharp eye for detail, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality finishes in a busy manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Team Leader, this hands-on role is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing signage components using spray-painting techniques and filler work
Key Responsibilities:
* Painting & Preparation: Perform sanding, masking, material preparation, spray painting (2pac/acrylic), and light to high filler work on a variety of signage products.
* Quality Focus: Deliver clean, accurate finishes that meet internal standards; identify and correct imperfections early in the process.
* Production Efficiency: Complete work within estimated timeframes, maintain stock usage records, and escalate time or quality constraints to the Team Leader
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with Graphics and Production teams to ensure seamless project delivery and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
* ERP: will use the ERP system to enter time on projects
Ideal Candidate:
* Trade-qualified spray painter with 5+ years' hands-on commercial or automotive painting experience
* Proficient in 2-pac and acrylic paints (essential); signage experience a plus
* Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering premium workmanship
* Team player who adapts quickly and meets tight deadlines without compromising quality
