About the role
Join a Rural Allied Health Team delivering community-based Occupational Therapy services in regional Victoria, approximately two hours north of Melbourne. This opportunity is available as a 6-12 month contract or permanent position.
You will work primarily in clients' homes supporting frail aged individuals and people with disability to maximise independence and safety. The role includes a mix of home visits and some clinic appointments.
Key clinical focus areas include:
* Home modifications (Australian Building Standards knowledge required)
* Assistive technology and equipment prescription
* Scooter assessments and wheelchair prescription
* Care planning and collaborative goal setting
* Working across HACC PYP, CHSP and minimal NDIS
* Use of funding schemes including Geat2GO and SWEP
You will work closely with Allied Health Assistants within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Skills & Experience
* Grade 2 Occupational Therapist
* AHPRA registration
* Prior community experience essential
* Experience in home visiting, aged care and disability
* Knowledge of Australian Building Standards
* Current driver's licence required
