Lead specific education, wellness support and training requirements for Junior Medical Staff and Medical Students
Come and join our dedicated and supportive Medical Education team based at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) to provide both Monash Rural Health (MRH) and BRHS Medical Education Programs.
The Contract: Ongoing Full-time position, hours per fortnight.
The Position:
Medical Education will be provided by the Supervisor of Clinical Training, Supervisors in Clinical Specialties, Manager of Rural Generalist Training and you - the Medical Education Officer. You will work closely to support and coordinate scheduled teaching, support students to complete workplace-based assessment tasks and credential students and doctors to undertake procedural skills in the clinical setting. You will also advocate for medical students and junior doctors on placement and provide mentoring and feedback to students.

What you need:
5. Registration as a Registered Nurse or Medical Practitioner with the relevant board/AHPRA
6. Previous experience within a hospital of healthcare environment
7. Qualifications or post-graduate studies in advanced clinical practice and/or education would be advantageous.
8. Identified high level of acute clinical expertise especially in core activities such as cannulation, assessment and care planning that also demonstrates a commitment to being person-centred in approach.

The Medical Services directorate is responsible for the provision of high-quality, locally appropriate medical care for the consumers of BRHS. The Medical Services Division is comprised of five clinical disciplines: Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Surgery and Emergency Medicine.
