Psychiatry Registrar
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Trainee Psychiatrist in various regions across WACHS. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary and medical teams, providing assessment and management for clients requiring specialist psychiatric care.
The Rural Psychiatry Training WA (RPTWA) program is designed to provide clinical and formal supervised training experiences in rural generalist psychiatry. Stage 3 trainees completing Certificates of Advanced Training are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Salary Information
* Trainee Psychiatrist Year 1-7: $163,568 to $218,971 p.a.
(Inclusive of base salary $135,729 to $185,418 p.a, professional development $10,969 p.a and 11.5% superannuation)
* Registrar Year 1-3: $171,015 to $187,042
(Inclusive of base salary $142,408 to $156,782 p.a plus professional development allowance $10,969 p.a and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation)
* HSMP Year 1-6: $281,065 to $352,780 p.a.
(Inclusive of base salary $218,634 to $282,953 p.a professional development allowance $33,442 p.a and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation)

Job Description
As a Trainee Psychiatrist, you will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist, providing assessment and management for clients requiring specialist psychiatric care. You will be committed to a length of training contract (two to five years) with WACHS.
The role involves working as an integral part of the multidisciplinary and medical teams, providing high-quality and culturally secure care and treatment for people experiencing mental health problems, including alcohol and substance use disorders, in rural and remote Western Australia.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Commitment to a rural post in psychiatry.
* Good interpersonal skills and high-level communication skills.
* Current RANZCP trainee or on approved Break in Training
* The ability to satisfy the Selection Panel of suitable academic record, RANZCP training record and employment history.
* Commitment and eligibility to undertake psychiatry training.
