Logistics Project Advisor Job Overview
This is a high-impact and hands-on logistics position supporting freight optimisation, heavy vehicle planning, and operational transport across QLD assets.
The role involves aggregate road freight demand across projects, wells, and operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Optimising use of 30+ heavy vehicles, 60+ trailers, and 50+ operators across 100,000+ transport tasks annually.
* Supporting review and analysis of transport spend and operating budgets.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving CI initiatives.
* Providing transport-related advisory support during contract pre-award stages.
* Ensuring compliance with HSSE requirements and relevant transport regulations.
* Collaborating with supply chain, contractors, and end users to enhance logistics performance.
* Tracking and reporting against key logistics KPIs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong background in freight forwarding, road transport, and customs.
* Proven experience in logistics coordination and scheduling optimisation.
* Commercial and analytical mindset with a focus on utilisation and efficiency.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Committed to HSSE leadership and continuous improvement.
* Comfortable working with logistics systems (SAP Blueprint, mInventory, or similar).
