Change Advisor, Clerk Grade 7/8, Wollongong

About the opportunity

Join NSW SES as a Change Advisor providing change management delivery support and guidance to initiatives and change agents within the Service. This hands-on role involves applying change management methodologies to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes and systems. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, develop tailored communication and engagement strategies, and ensure alignment with program objectives and NSW SES Strategy. The role may also contribute to development and continuous improvement of the NSW SES Delivery Framework, including tools and templates to ensure they meet member and project needs.

As a Change Advisor, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality deliverables, assisting with the development of change plans and tracking progress to ensure key milestones are met. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering change workshops, training sessions and engagement activities to build understanding and readiness among members.

Key challenges include staying current with change and communication best practices and applying them within the NSW SES context; understanding the unique role and needs of volunteers in a geographically diverse hub-and-spoke structure; and effectively planning and executing change activities with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring their input shapes project outcomes.

This role is based at the NSW SES State Headquarters in Wollongong, while some flexible working arrangements are available, this role requires you to work from the office more often than not to ensure effective collaboration and support for project activities.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

* Have a solid understanding of change management methodologies and experience applying them to facilitate successful transitions in complex and operationally driven environments.
* Possess relevant experience in providing change management support, ideally in a system implementation or process improvement project integrating both agile and traditional project methodologies.
* Have demonstrated experience in the delivery of change within a large, geographically dispersed workforce.
* Be proficient building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels, communicating effectively to influence and negotiate, and ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess change impacts, identify risks and support the development of change plans that align with project objectives.

* Maximum Total Renumeration Package (salary range $110,266.00 to $122,058.00 plus 11.5% superannuation and annual leave loading).
