Gasweld Tools Canberra is seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our retail team, we currently have on offer a Full Time Store Manager position and a Full Time Sales Team Member position. you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our store located in Fyshwick, ACT.
Store Manager Role-
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including staff supervision, inventory management, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation
* Providing customers with knowledgeable and friendly assistance, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
* Identifying sales opportunities and proactively promoting products and services to customers
* Achieving and exceeding sales targets through effective team management and customer engagement
* Participating in regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with company policies, products, and industry developments
* Assisting with the implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions to drive store traffic and sales
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a retail or customer service-oriented role, preferably in the Retail & Consumer Products industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and team members
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a customer-centric approach
* Demonstrated sales and merchandising skills, with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets
* Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including Saturday shifts as required
Sales Team Member Role -
The successful applicant will have a natural interest in tools and welding as well as a strong customer service focus providing excellent customer service both face to face and via phone. You will be required to have a good work ethic with strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team. You must be fit and healthy as some lifting, packing and unpacking is required.
A solid technical knowledge of tools and welding or previous experience within the tool, hardware or trade industry would be an advantage. This Full Time position may also suit a Tradie who is looking to get off the tools moving into a sales role.
Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Provide excellent customer service to our customers, face to face and via phone.
*Loading/Unloading of stock
*Maintaining store presentation and stock levels
*Assist with customer orders, telephone enquiries and emails
*Prepare quotes
*Inventory receipting and stock transfers
*Deliveries
