Immediate Contract Opportunity for a Data Engineer to work on the scaling of a global application. You must be based in Sydney or Brisbane and be available immediately or with a short notice period.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a cross-functional team and ensure high quality data is accessible for a variety of products.
You will responsible for:
* Developing data pipelines and architecture that is scalable & secure (Snowflake & DBT)
* Proven experience in data governance and MDM and partnering with data stewards, owners to help drive a mature data culture
* Query execution & optimisation
* Identifying and fixing data quality issues
* Optimisation of data models
* Data streaming - Spark, Kafka, etc.
Required Skillset:
* A minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Architect
* Data pipelines in Snowflake, DBT, AWS Glue, Postgres
* Strong MDM and Data Governance experience
* Streaming leveraging tools including Kafka, Spark, etc.
* Agile, CD & DevOps ways of working
* Ability to work within an environment that is fast-paced, high energy and with changing priorities - start up feel
* Ability to speak Spanish is desirable
