Description
* Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support decision‑making processes.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
* Support the month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
* Maintain and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
* Provide support to the Accounting & Finance department on ad hoc projects as required.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CA or CPA) or working towards obtaining one.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of relevant standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Previous experience in the Energy & Natural Resources industry is desirable.
