About Senior Engineer - Generator Performance Standards
We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of generator performance standards. The successful candidate will have experience with power system networks and operations, as well as a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles related to generation and transmission systems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain engineering methodologies for the GPS Framework used internally and in the SWIS, including assessment and commissioning processes.
* Assess GPS non-compliance submissions and develop rectification plans.
* Lead or contribute to WEM Rules changes for the GPS Framework, coordinating with policy stakeholders.
* Implement WEM Rules changes across internal and industry processes.
* Represent us in discussions with Network Operators and Market Participants regarding GPS submissions and provide guidance on technical processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience with power system networks and operations.
* Understanding of electrical engineering principles related to generation and transmission systems.
* Experience managing generator connection processes and performance assessments.
* Negotiation skills for resolving complex technical issues among stakeholders.
* Proficiency with power system modelling tools like DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, and Python.
