This organisation is seeking a highly motivated Senior Communication Consultant with a desire to deliver strategic outcomes relating to Campaign Planning and Execution, Reputation Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Social Media, Branding and Video Production.
Your new role:
As the Strategic Communications Manager you will be responsible for managing the planning and enabling functions during critical phases and specific key events to allow our clients across government, defence, and defence industry to gain a marked advantage that contributes to achieving success.
This role includes:
- Manage, evaluate, and assess the performance of a small team to support the development and provision of a Strategic Communication Plan (SCP).
- Identify media and communication opportunities and risks within the client business environment, incorporating these insights into planning, decision making and priority setting.
- Develop integral target communication, including speeches, publications, and reports for both internal and external audiences.
- Generate stakeholder messaging and talking points for our Defence and Defence Industry clients.
- Coordinate and support clients in organising key activities and develop a schedule of events which present engagement opportunities with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide both verbal and written specialist advice on the design, development, and implementation of a range of media and communication activities.
What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this role you will present with the following skills/qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing)
- Baseline clearance, or eligibility to attain
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously, and remotely when required, but also as part of a small team in a collaborative environment
- The capacity to present, timely, considered, and measured advice to inform senior leadership groups to support decision making
- Previous experience in building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to anticipate and assess their strategic communication needs
