Occupational Rehabilitation Counselor

You will be responsible for providing initial assessments, psychometric testing, and brief interventions for job seekers who face psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment. Your duties will also include performing new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, recovery support, conducting initial assessments with injured workers and case management for return to same employment, assessing and reporting on psychological functional capacities/complete psychological functional assessments, assessing and making recommendations on the effects of mental health and medical conditions on ability to work, writing detailed case notes and reports, and working with adult clients living with varying socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide initial assessment, psychometric testing, and brief interventions for job seekers facing psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment.
* Perform new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, and recovery support.
* Conduct initial assessments with injured workers and case management for return to same employment.
* Assess and report on psychological functional capacities/complete psychological functional assessments.
* Assess and make recommendations on the effects of mental health and medical conditions on ability to work.
* Write detailed case notes and reports.
* Work with adult clients living with varying socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds.

Requirements:
* Hold a degree in Masters of Rehabilitation Counselling or equivalent.
* Be eligible for ASORC or RCAA accreditation upon graduating.
* Have graduated within the last 12 months or be graduating in 2025.
* Agree to a pre-employment national criminal check prior to employment.
* Have full Australian working rights.
* Hold a full driver's license, own vehicle, and comprehensive insurance.
