As a Leading Hand Carpenter, you will play a key role in supporting site operations, guiding carpentry crews, and ensuring workmanship meets AUSPAN's high standards. You'll be hands-on, organised, safety-focused, and able to keep momentum on site while working closely with the Site Supervisor.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to take ownership of projects to ensure construction is supervised effectively, projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and in accordance with Auspan's quality expectations and WHS requirements.
The Main Responsibilities Would Include:
* Lead and support carpentry teams to deliver safe, high-quality work
* Interpret plans and ensure work is completed to specification
* Maintain a tidy, efficient, and productive work area
* Communicate clearly with supervisors, subcontractors, and team members
* Assist in managing materials, tools, and daily site tasks
* Uphold AUSPAN's safety, quality, and cultural standards at all times
About You – Skills and Experience
* Our ideal candidate is someone who can bring the following to the role:
* Trade qualification in Carpentry (Cert III or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience in structural or commercial carpentry
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to coordinate small teams and keep work progressing
* Sound understanding of on-site safety practices

The Minimum Requirements:
* Ability to pass a functional pre-employ medical including drug and alcohol screen.
* Hold a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
