Salary package:$89,313 - $112,103 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Terms: 2 x Full time, Continuing (contingent funded)

The Position

Applications are sought for two Postdoctoral Fellows in the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES) in the area of seismology.

Professor Meghan Miller's position will be undertaking research for the observational seismology program at RSES with a focus on data acquisition for Earth Imaging. Candidates who have previous experience with numerical seismology, data processing, computer programming, and fieldwork are encouraged to apply.

The position working with Dr Caroline Eakin will focus on research in observational seismology, with the aim to investigate seismic anisotropy beneath the WA-Array, a new continental scale array covering Western Australia. Candidates with relevant experience in observational seismology are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will be members of the Geophysics Department based at RSES. The Person

We are looking for two early career researchers with a PhD (or awarding of a PhD within six months of appointment) in the field of seismology, computational geophysics, tectonophysics or a related area, and have the ability to articulate and prosecute innovate research. Your ability to lead by example, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to foster respectful and productive working relationships with staff, students and colleagues at all levels within RSES in line with the RSES Culture Statement.
